"...flexible and creative while also ensuring a disciplined approach to progress."
Kristin - parent
"We had been looking for a coach for our son for nearly a year when we found Chris. He was able to connect with our teenage son in the middle of COVID and quickly established a rapport with him in a short amount of time. As the pandemic continued, Chris became an important support figure who brought needed structure and also some levity and fun. He is flexible and creative while also ensuring a disciplined approach to progress. We appreciate that Chris is available in between sessions for Zach to connect, when needed, and adapting weekly focus areas based on where he is on that day/week."

Benefits of Back-to-School Executive Function Coaching
Whether you're a high school student, college student, or transitioning between stages, our personalized approach focuses on your unique needs and aspirations.
Create Daily Routines That Work For YOU
- Struggle: Transitioning back to school can be overwhelming without a clear routine. Without established daily structures, students often find themselves struggling to keep up with homework, extracurricular activities, and personal life. This lack of organization can lead to missed assignments, lower grades, and increased stress.
- How Coaching Can Help: Coaching helps build personalized daily routines that balance schoolwork, personal time, and self-care, creating a stable foundation for success throughout the school year.
Manage Emotional Ups and Downs
- Struggle: Returning to the school environment after a break can trigger anxiety and emotional dysregulation. The pressure to perform well academically, coupled with social expectations, can lead to feelings of being overwhelmed and stressed, affecting focus and overall well-being.
- How Coaching Can Help: Coaching provides strategies to handle stress, set boundaries, and manage emotions effectively, promoting a balanced and resilient approach to school challenges.
Boost Your Self-Confidence and Self-Advocacy
- Struggle: Lack of confidence and self-advocacy skills can hinder students from trying new things and expressing their needs, leading to reluctance in school activities and challenges in communicating effectively.
- How Coaching Can Help: Coaching builds self-confidence by setting achievable goals and celebrating progress. It also teaches students self-advocacy skills, helping them express their needs and stand up for themselves, fostering greater engagement and success in their education.
Tackle Tasks and Get Organized
- Struggle: Starting new assignments and sticking to them can be daunting. Disorganization leads to lost assignments, missed deadlines, and a chaotic study environment. These challenges affect both grades and self-confidence.
- How Coaching Can Help: Coaching breaks down tasks into manageable steps and creates effective organizational systems for school materials and personal items. This ensures timely completion of assignments and a structured, efficient workspace that supports academic success.
Balance Your Time and Prevent Burnout
- Struggle: Juggling schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and personal commitments can be challenging. Poor time management often results in missed deadlines, rushed work, and little time for relaxation, leading to burnout.
- How Coaching Can Help: Coaching aids in developing a structured schedule that balances various responsibilities, ensuring sufficient time for each task. This prevents burnout by promoting a healthy balance between work and rest.
Learn How To Check-In With Yourself
- Struggle: Without the ability to self-monitor, students may not recognize their areas of improvement or stay motivated. This can result in repeated mistakes, decreased academic performance, and a lack of progress.
- How Coaching Can Help: Coaching encourages self-reflection, helping students identify their strengths and weaknesses, adjust their strategies, and stay motivated to achieve their academic goals.
Set and Achieve Personal Goals (and have fun doing it)
- Struggle: Setting and achieving goals can be overwhelming. Students often set unrealistic goals or fail to plan effectively, leading to frustration and a sense of failure.
- How Coaching Can Help: Coaching assists in establishing realistic academic goals and creating actionable plans, tracking progress, and maintaining motivation. By making the process enjoyable and engaging, students can achieve their goals while having fun along the way, leading to long-term success.
Connect and Thrive Socially (Learn How To Find Your People)
- Struggle: Social interactions can be challenging for students, especially those who are neurodivergent. Difficulty in understanding social cues and building relationships can lead to feelings of isolation and anxiety.
- How Coaching Can Help: Coaching provides tools and strategies to improve social skills, such as effective communication, empathy, and active listening. This helps students build stronger relationships and feel more connected to their peers and teachers, making it easier to find and connect with their people.

"I've never met a provider who understood my daughter so well..."
Ruby - parent
"I've never met a provider who understood my daughter so well, let alone on the first day. The way you communicated with her never put her on the defensive and she was able to open up without hesitation. Everything on your list are things we've been trying to work on with her for so long and yet, I think she'll be able to hear you. I'm so grateful to you and hopeful for the possibilities."

Why A Person-Centered Approach?
Why A Relationship-Based Approach?
The simple answer is – because it works.
A person-centered approach recognizes the importance of understanding and connecting with each individual on a deeper level.
Research studies (Thomas, 2006) have identified "The Big Four" common factors that contribute to successful change:
- Relationship Factors (30%): Establishing a strong connection between the client and the coach.
- Hope & Expectations (15%): Fostering a sense of optimism and confidence in the process.
- Models & Techniques (15%): Utilizing evidence-based strategies tailored to the individual's needs.
- Extra-therapeutic Factors (40%): Considering the unique circumstances and resources in a person's life.
By focusing on these key elements, our person-centered approach ensures that our coaching is effective and genuinely resonates with the people we serve.
