Meet The Founder
About Chris.
Life Skills Advocate was founded in 2019 by Chris Hanson, who has personal experience with ADHD, anxiety & depression and understands the importance of having strong advocates on your side. Chris started Life Skills Advocate because he wanted to create the type of support service he wishes he had when he was a teenager struggling to find his path in life.
Professionally, Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and spent 8+ years as a high school special education teacher and paraeducator in the Kent School District. Over time, he saw a critical need to support students (and adults) in becoming their own best advocates, and helping them build the confidence and skills needed to tackle what’s getting in the way of pursuing their goals and having a higher high quality of life.
